Areas of interest at present include molecular basis of the adverse perinatal outcome in complications of pregnancy like Diabetes-in-pregnancy, Gestational diabetes mellitus, Anemia in pregnancy and Hypertensive disorders of pregnancy. The placental oxidative stress and sterile inflammation and their related biochemical derangements like DNA damage and repair, apoptosis, ER stress, ferroptosis, pyroptosis and altered lipid metabolism are the areas of investigations at present. Guided 11 students for PhD so far and have availed 6 extramural projects from ICMR, DST and DBT.
