We commenced the MCh Neurosurgery residency course in the year 2010. Currently, the intake is four candidates per year for the post-MS (General Surgery) 3-year MCh course. Post MBBS 6 years MCh course has been approved by the Academic Advisory Council in the year 2022 and it will commence with one resident in the coming academic year. Besides this, we train neurosurgery residents from other institutes posted in the department in micro neurosurgical techniques. We also teach residents from General Surgery, Emergency Medicine and ENT to manage traumatic brain injury and spinal injuries and introduce them to elective neurosurgical procedures. The department conducts didactic teaching sessions for MBBS and BSc nursing students using lectures and modular teaching sessions. Besides this, we impart training to students of the Emergency Medicine Technology and Operation Theater Technology courses
