National workshop on Diagnostic Methods in Clinical Microbiology:

This workshop is being conducted every year from 2002.

The target participants for the workshop are postgraduate students in microbiology and the young faculty (entry level) in the field of microbiology.

The goal of the workshop is to sharpen their diagnostic skills in clinical microbiology by exposing them to various techniques in the field.

The topics covered in the workshop and the overall program of the workshop would cover the entire gamut of clinical microbiology.

We intend to provide hands-on training in various diagnostic skills during the workshop.

Also as a part of the workshop, eminent faculty from different specialties of microbiology will be invited to deliver guest lectures and share their experiences with the participants.

Overall the workshop intends to provide hands-on training to participants in various diagnostic tests which can be carried out even in a low resource setting effectively contributing to ‘LABORATORY STRENGTHENING’

National workshop on Hospital infection Control

This workshop was started in 2017 by the hospital infection control committee along with the Department of Microbiology, JIPMER, Puducherry.

This provides intensive hands on training on various aspects of Hospital infections and its prevention, including policies to various participants from all over India by various experts including those from other renowned centers.
