Clinical Services
The department has 170beds in general ward, a 16-bedded Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) equipped with 16ventilators, a facility for bedside plasmapheresis, bedside hemodialysis and CRRT; and a 6-bedded High DependencyUnit (HDU). There are six units in the department, which provides daily outpatient services, specialty clinics, and manages ≥ 75% acutely sick patients in emergency services. Laboratory Services
The department has a well-equipped lab with automated analyser for cell counts, HPLC for HbA1c and osmometer. Also foot Scans, Doppler Studies and VPT (vibration perception threshold) are being done in the Diabetes foot lab. Echocardiography and ultrasound machines are used for diagnostic purposes and interventions like central line eplacemnt, renal biopsies, etc
