Services
The department aims to develop and improve strategies in diagnosis and treatment of common as well as rare dermatological conditions. Patient support groups and patient education are organized on regular basis. The core areas include psoriasis, vitiligo, bullous disorders, chronic urticaria, genodermatoses, lasers, dermatosurgery, pediatric dermatology, leprosy, and sexually transmitted diseases.
The patient care services provided by the department are as follows:
Out patient services:
- General Dermatology outpatient clinic- Monday to Saturday 8AM – 1 PM
- Pediatric Dermatology clinic- Monday to Saturday 8AM – 1 PM
- STD clinic- Monday to Saturday 8AM – 1 PM
- Leprosy clinic – Monday to Saturday 8AM – 1 PM
- Dermatology staff clinic - Monday to Saturday 8AM – 1 PM
- Laser clinic - Monday to Friday 8AM – 4 PM; Saturday 8AM – 1 PM
- Subspecialty clinics: These clinics are meant for follow up of patients seen in general Dermatology outpatient clinic / discharged from ward.
- Bullous disorder and connective tissue disease clinic- Monday 2 PM – 4 PM
- Psoriasis and vitiligo clinic- Tuesday 2 PM – 4 PM
- Eczema Clinic- Wednesday 2 PM – 4 PM
- Chronic Urticaria clinic- Thursday 2 PM – 4 PM
- Genodermatoses and trichology clinic- Friday 2 PM – 4 PM
- Multidisciplinary Epidermolysis Bullosa clinic – First Monday once in every 3 months; 2 PM – 4 PM
Laboratory services:
A department side lab functions on all days of the week from 9 AM to 4 PM for performing baseline investigations like KOH examination, Tzanck smear, Gram stain, wet mount, oil mount, slit skin smear for outpatients and inpatients and urine and stool routine examination for inpatients.

These services are available on OPD basis with prior appointment from 9 AM to 1 PM on all days.
