Dr Keerthana Mohankumar, Final Year Postgraduate Junior Resident in the Department of Psychiatry, JIPMER, Puducherrywon the Prof V. Balan Award for the Best Paper Presentation by a Postgraduate at the 40th Annual Conference of the Tamil Nadu Chapter of the Indian Psychiatric Society (TANPSYCON), held at Yercaud on 12th-13th July, 2025.
She presented her dissertation work in the paper titled, "Development and Validation of the Protracted Alcohol Withdrawal Syndrome (PAWS) Scale". The work was done under the guidance of Dr Balaji Bharadwaj, Additional Professor of Psychiatry (Guide), Dr Shivanand Kattimani, Professor & Head of Psychiatry and Dr Jang Bahadur Prasad, Assistant Professor of Biostatistics (Co-Guide).
