Dr.K.Keni Gowsi, Junior Resident, Department of Physiology, has won the prestigious "R Srinivasan Prize Award" for the best paper presented by a post-graduate student during the 63rd Annual Conference of the Association of Physiologists and Pharmacologists of India, held during 10th-14th October, 2017 in JIPMER, Puducherry. The paper was titled "Comparison of the effects of acute bout of exercise on cognition and inflammation between athletes and non-athletes: a randomized controlled trial". The research work was carried out under the guidance of Dr. Vivek Kumar Sharma (Guide), Addl.Prof., Dept of Physiology, JIPMER, and Dr.Gopal Krushna Pal (Co-Guide), Professor & Dean, JIPMER (Karaikkal).
