PhD student wins Science Translational Medicine Travel Award

Umamaheswaran Gurusamy, a PhD scholar in the Department of Pharmacology has won Science Journal Translational medicine Travel Award. The award is for his short talk, entitled “Single nucleotide germ line variations at the CYP19A1 gene locus predict clinical outcomes of adjuvant letrozole therapy in postmenopausal women treated for early breast cancer” in International Conference on Cancer Biology: Molecular mechanisms and novel therapeutics (CANCERCON 14), Organized by IIT Madras and Cancer Research & Relief Trust, Chennai during January 30-Febrauary 1, 2014.
