On the occasion of World Tuberculosis (TB) Day 2025, the Department of Pulmonary Medicine at JIPMER organized a Walkathon to raise awareness about TB and emphasize the importance of early diagnosis and treatment. The event took place on 23rd March 2025, and it was a remarkable success, fostering a spirit of community engagement and health awareness among the participants.

The Walkathon was flagged off at 7:00 AM by Mr. Rangabashiyam, Deputy Director (Admin) of JIPMER, from the Rajiv Gandhi Maternity Hospital. The walk then proceeded via the JIPMER 7th gate, concluding at the JIPMER Grounds. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from a diverse group, including the general public, students, healthcare professionals, and corporate partners, who came together to support the cause.
